Course Description & Methodology
The trombone courses are designed to provide students with the technical and musical foundation necessary to develop as confident and expressive musicians. Each student follows a personalized program based on their level, goals, and aspirations, whether they wish to play for personal enjoyment or pursue advanced musical studies.
The course is built around the following fundamental objectives:
- Develop a solid technical foundation through the systematic study of posture, breathing, embouchure, slide technique, articulation, flexibility, and endurance.
- Achieve a clear, resonant, and well-controlled sound, with particular emphasis on tone production, breath support, intonation, and consistency throughout the instrument’s full range.
- Refine technical proficiency through carefully selected studies, scales, technical exercises, and etudes specifically written for the trombone, progressively increasing fluency, accuracy, and confidence.
- Explore a broad and diverse repertoire, ranging from classical to contemporary works, enabling students to apply technical skills within a rich musical and artistic context.
- Develop musical expression and interpretative awareness, encouraging students to cultivate their own artistic voice while respecting the stylistic and historical characteristics of each work.
