Izzeddin Said Qanoun Virtuoso, Composer, Arranger, and Cultural Director Born in Jericho in 1997, Izzeddin Said is a celebrated qanoun virtuoso, composer, and music consultant specializing in Oriental, pop, and world music. A graduate of Birzeit University’s Arabic Music Performance program, he has performed globally, masterfully blending the intricate traditions of Arabic music with contemporary Western orchestration.

As the Projects and Concerts Program Director at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music, Izzeddin shapes the region’s cultural landscape while directing major musical initiatives. A prolific arranger with a portfolio of over 1,000 pieces, he has seen his work performed by prestigious ensembles including the Palestine Youth Orchestra and the Palestinian Arabic Orchestra, as well as renowned artists such as Ahmad Al-Khatib and Tamer Al-Sahouri. Combining deep traditional knowledge with modern digital production, his visionary projects—including Earth Protectors and Gaza: The Steadfast People—underscore a profound commitment to cultural preservation and resistance through art.
